Fascynują mnie chmury, ich niepowtarzalny kształt - pozorny spokój leniwego przemierzania błękitnego tła. Szybkość z jaką przechodzą w kolejne formy lub zatracają swoją wątłą anatomię, znikając całkowicie.
Każde spojrzenie w górę wywołuje we mnie niemal fizyczne wrażenie - jakby ciężar obłoków był namacalny, a ich lekkość odrywała mnie od ziemi.
Te szkice to zapis niepowtarzalnej, gwałtownej natury, doświadczonej między obrazem a wyobrażeniem, zastanej w chwili i jednocześnie dalekiej od jakiegokolwiek uchwycenia.
I started studying the sky around 2020, although the first sketches from nature were made much earlier - on canvas and in my head - always spontaneously, under the influence of an intense gazing at the sky.
I am fascinated by clouds, their unique shape - the apparent stillness of the lazy sweep of the blue background. The speed with which they transform into successive forms or lose their fragile anatomy, disappearing completely.
Every glance upwards creates an almost physical sensation in me - as if the weight of the clouds is palpable and their lightness pulls me off the ground.
These sketches are a record of the unique, turbulent nature of the skies, experienced between image and imagination, found in the moment and simultaneously far from being captured in any way.
